Socca Austria SEASON REPORT 2024/2025

FANS OF SOCCA

The 2025 season in the two Socca Austria leagues – Fans of Socca A and Fans of Socca B – delivered months of thrilling small-sided football, emotional twists, and, ultimately, a final tournament that was nothing short of dramatic.

In Fans of Socca A, FC Zlatix dominated the league almost at will. With 24 wins from 26 matches, the team left no doubt about its exceptional status. The champion's attack was nearly unstoppable throughout the season. Led by the outstanding Edin Bijeljinac, who scored a historic 79 goals in just 18 appearances, the team played with pace, precision, and remarkable composure. Behind them, FC Strassl and FC Stockerau battled closely for the chasing positions. Both teams also recorded 21 wins and impressed with their team cohesion. Tabularasa secured fourth place with 18 victories, earning a spot in the final tournament featuring the best teams from both leagues.

In Fans of Socca B, a completely different dynamic unfolded. The title race remained open until the very last matchday. Povfootball SK had long been in pole position but squandered their title hopes with a bitter 5–11 loss to Taxi United on the final day. The beneficiaries were Wisła Wien S.U, who won their match against FSC Vienna United 8–2 and leapfrogged Povfootball on goal difference. A dramatic finish that underlined the importance of every single goal throughout the season.

At the ensuing FINALS, the top four teams from League A – FC Zlatix, FC Strassl, FC Stockerau, and Tabularasa – as well as the two top teams from League B – Wisła Wien S.U and Povfootball SK – were split into two groups of three. In Group A, FC Zlatix cruised to two victories, while Stockerau secured second place over Povfootball. In the parallel group, Tabularasa and Strassl were evenly matched. Their head-to-head ended in a 2–2 draw, and both teams defeated Wisła Wien convincingly. In the end, Tabularasa advanced due to the better goal difference.

The semifinals began with a clash between Zlatix and Strassl. The favorite won 4–2, although they showed some weaknesses in defense for the first time. The second semifinal between Tabularasa and Stockerau turned into an epic thriller. After regular time ended 2–2, the match was decided in a penalty shootout – not until the 15th shooter from each team. Stockerau triumphed 10–9 and advanced to the final.

The final became a fitting conclusion to an extraordinary season. Stockerau stormed through the first half, leading 4–0 at halftime – against a team that had to play five minutes with one player less starting in the 20th minute. But what Zlatix showed afterward was more than just football. It was an emotional display of sheer determination and mental strength. In just one half, the favorites turned the game around, winning 6–5 and claiming victory in the Finals on top of their league title. Still, Stockerau's quality deserves praise – the upset was within inches.

Thus, FC Zlatix crowns itself the well-deserved CHAMPION of the 2025 Socca season and qualifies for the Socca Champions League in Crete. A team of outstanding quality, led by a goal scorer who made this season unforgettable across all of Socca Austria.

PRO LEAGUE

The 2025 Pro League made its debut – and did so with a historic bang. In its inaugural edition, the highest prize money ever in small-sided football was awarded. €15,000 awaited the team that could prevail in the concluding SOCCA FINALS. The twelve matchdays of the league served purely for positioning – as the top spot only mattered for seeding. The actual title was decided at the final tournament.

In the regular season, FC Sanglas and FK Bacista delivered a show of strength. Sanglas won eleven out of twelve matches, while Bacista was close behind with ten wins. Both teams distanced themselves early from the competition. Schöpfwerk United and SV Srbija United secured the remaining spots for the finals. However, shortly before the tournament, Srbija United withdrew – and Chile FC, who finished fifth, stepped in.

At the SOCCA FINALS, both semifinals were clear-cut affairs: FK Bacista crushed Schöpfwerk United 13–2, while FC Sanglas defeated Chile FC 12–1. Both finalists left no doubt about their class. It was the matchup everyone anticipated – and now it would crown the tournament.

In the final between Sanglas and Bacista, two well-drilled teams faced off, neither giving an inch. After regular time, the score was 3–3, sending the match to penalties. There, the unlikely hero emerged: FC Sanglas goalkeeper Haydar Bayram. He not only scored from the spot himself but also saved the decisive penalty from Bacista playmaker Amar Helic. With that moment, Sanglas clinched the first-ever Pro League title, the record prize money, and the coveted ticket to the Socca Champions League in Crete.

Emir Sahin became the top scorer of the entire Pro League season thanks to his goals at the FINALS. So the final decision didn’t come from the regular season stats but where it mattered most – on the pitch in the crucial moment.

The inaugural Pro League showcased impressively how much potential small-sided football holds when athletic ambition, professional organization, and real skill come together. With Sanglas as the first-ever winner, a worthy name enters the young history of the format – and the stage is now set for the years to come.
