FANS OF SOCCA – Matchday Report, March 23, 2025
League A:
On March 23, 2025, Matchday 14 of the FANS OF SOCCA A league delivered a day full of goals, high-class individual performances, and gripping football.
⚽ League leaders FC Strassl underlined their top form with an impressive 12–5 win over FC Maarif. The attacking display was led by Christopher Matzaljk, who netted four times and played a pivotal role throughout the match. El Kareh Hady and Ugljesa Lirsch also contributed with multiple goals. Maarif showed offensive qualities, but their defense had no answers for Strassl’s relentless pressure.
⚽ In the match between direct title contenders, FC Zlatix made a clear statement by defeating FC Stockerau 11–3. Zlatix now sits just one point behind the leaders. Semir Kovacevic and Bijeljinac Edin both scored four goals, and the match was effectively decided within the first 15 minutes, as Zlatix dominated the early stages and never let go of the momentum.
⚽ FC Polnische Kickers celebrated an important victory in the mid-table battle, defeating Triowls 5–3 in a physical encounter. Jaroslaw Kawecki was the star of the match, scoring four goals and securing the three points almost single-handedly. Despite several yellow cards, the team maintained composure and control.
⚽ Tabularasa, another team in strong form, dismantled Ayyildiz FC with a commanding 7–0 win. El-damanhoury Amir was the standout player with a hat-trick, while Arda Yoztyurk and Stefan Popp both added braces. Ayyildiz lacked both offensive spark and defensive structure, allowing Tabularasa to dictate the game.
⚽ The most dramatic match of the day took place between FC Al-Wahda and Club de Futbol, with the latter narrowly claiming a 6–5 victory. Erkan Özkök led the way with three goals, while Alkhateeb Abed scored twice for club de futbol. Defensive organization was largely absent on both sides, but it made for an entertaining spectacle.
The standings remain tight: FC Strassl holds first place with 38 points, just ahead of FC Zlatix (37), followed by FC Stockerau (32) and Tabularasa (31). The title race is wide open as we head into the final stages of the season.
League B:
After a slow start with postponed matches on opening day, the B-Division of the Socca League came to life on March 23rd. Matchday 2 delivered thrilling encounters, goal-rich matches, and the first signs of hierarchy forming within the league table.
⚽ The day kicked off with a high-scoring affair between FSC Vienna United and Povfootball SK, ending 5–6 in favor of the visitors. Both sides played attacking football from the first whistle, resulting in a fast-paced and entertaining match. Pasaoglu Kan was pivotal for Povfootball with two goals, while Dennis Malecek responded in kind for Vienna United. Despite a spirited comeback in the second half, FSC Vienna United ultimately fell short, as Povfootball made an emphatic statement in their season opener.
⚽ The most one-sided match of the day followed, as Taxi United Vienna, already with a win to their name, dismantled FSC Torpedo Korneuburg with a convincing 9–4 victory. A highlight of the match was the depth in Taxi United’s squad, with six different players scoring. Mahmud Selim Imamoglu led the charge with a hat-trick, and although Torpedo managed four goals of their own, they were overwhelmed by the pace and precision of their opponents. With this result, Taxi United climbed to the top of the table with authority.
⚽ The final match saw Karthago FC claim a deserved 5–3 win away to Wisła Wien S.U.. Fares Marzouki was the standout performer, netting twice and proving decisive despite also picking up a yellow card. Karthago capitalized on their chances, while Wisła’s defensive organization fell short. A late goal from Wojciech Żurawski offered a glimmer of hope, but it came too late to change the outcome.
After two rounds, Taxi United Vienna stands out as the clear early frontrunner. With two wins, a +7 goal differential, and commanding performances, they top the standings convincingly. Trailing behind are Karthago FC and Povfootball SK, each with a strong showing from their lone matches. At the bottom, FSC Vienna United and FSC Torpedo Korneuburg remain winless after two games. Still, with the season just getting underway, the league promises plenty more drama ahead.
